About CANVAS Hotel

Located at 1325 Botham Jean Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215, CANVAS Hotel operates as a tennis resort serving Dallas in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

No hours are on file. If you plan a visit, phone first or check the Google Maps link on this page for the latest times. The listed phone number is (214) 421-1080. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, canvashoteldallas.com.

Its Google rating is 4.1 out of 5 from 3,099 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Dallas is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Dallas is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

The website mentions NOTHING about throwing roof top parties and blasting music until 2 am. Could feel our windows shaking. I thought this was a HOTEL where people could get sleep after traveling. I understand having fun and throwing a bash but I feel like a hotel should prioritize it's other couple hundred guests that paid 300 dollars a night to get a good night's rest. I feel completely ripped off. It's expected to have some noise at a hotel and maybe even a little of the outside city noise but there was a whole floor between mine and the roof and was still shaking. when I say loud music I mean LOUD. They give you a number to text and I asked about a timeframe on the loud music and was told "sorry management went to ask the DJ to turn the volume down" didn't change a thing. Went on til 2 am. Also what's the point on a weekend spending 300$ a night for a rooftop pool when they rent it out after 730 and you don't even get to use it. Money is better spent at a hotel that makes its guest comfortable, not just the rich people throwing a party. Just because it's a weekend in a city doesn't mean people paying to SLEEP at a hotel wanna hear a bad dj blasts beats all night. Disappointed a

Honestly, this was the worst hotel experience I’ve probably ever had. I specifically called before I booked and asked about the weekend plans as well as parking. I was misled about both upon arrival. I was notified that the free parking that was included with my hotel stay was actually not free unless I wanted to park across the street and carry my bag bags back across to the hotel. Then I was notified of a $40 valet fee. I was told about a pool party from 2 to 7 PM. The Music blasted until after 1 AM. The pool was more of an oversized hot tub. With 25 people in the pool it was at capacity with no room to move around, and the water was murky. It was 94Β° outside on a rooftop with one umbrella. I guess everyone was supposed to share. $85 spent on food and drink. We got five wings some sweet potato fries and brussels sprouts. The wings were so dry and overcooked, we couldn’t eat them. The water pressure for the shower was apropos to the stay. Lackluster and not worth it. I could have spend $200 less for a much better stay. Extremely disappointed.

We had a really lovely two night stay at the Canvas overall! The hotel feels very clean, and the room was nicely spacious. The bed was wonderfully fluffy and comfortable, like a cloud. We loved that we could open the windows for a flow of fresh air. The rooftop bar and infinity pool + firepits with a view are such a gem! The rooftop experience is worth the cost of the stay. Otherwise for the price, things felt appropriate, nothing in excess. The elevators are a little slow, but it’s an older building. Only concern was one of the lobby bathrooms smelt a bit of mildew, but I didn’t feel that concern anywhere else throughout the hotel. The parking lot is a bit small, but the valet staff was kind and accommodating to us as guests. We learned on our last morning that there is complimentary fresh hot coffee in the lobby! Don’t bother using the keurig in your room. I would stay here again!
